Responsible for parliamentary affairs, industry and external relations and co-ordinating the association’s market research and charitable activities.

Lavinia has chaired the Alliance Against IP Theft, as its founding member, since founding it in 1998, lobbying for legislative reform to enable IP rights owners to protect and promote their rights in the interests of British industry and employment.

In March 2004 the BVA set up the Industry Trust for IP Awareness, of which she is a director, whose remit is to improve public awareness of and respect for the value of copyright.

Since October 2007 Lavinia has been acting as a consultant to the Motion Picture Association on the industry’s new anti-piracy pilot project in the UK.

She is Vice President of NCH-The Children’s Charity.
