The 2008 RAAM Conference, Screenings and Trade Show takes place at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, London from Tuesday 29th April - Thursday 1st May 2008.
Speakers to date include - Peter Bart Editor in Chief of Variety; Tim Richards Vue Entertainment; Roger Harris Odeon Cinemas; Trevor Green Entertainment Films; Roger Pollock Paramount Pictures International; Robert Mitchell, Walt Disney Studios, Tony Adamson DLP Cinema® Products; Halli Kristinsson MPAA; Lavinia Carey BVA; Jezz Vernon Metrodome; Rod Wheeler Barco; Phil Clapp CEA; David Hancock Screen Digest; Larry O'Reilly IMAX; Duncan Reynolds Odeon Cinemas and Gavin MiIller Connectnxo.
Screenings confirmed by Paramount Pictures, Walt Disney Studios and Warner Bros. Each screening will include a forward slate of summer movies plus an exclusive first viewing of upcoming movies.
The conference programme consists of six major sessions, four screenings and four industry related workshops - more about these later.

The sessions will address:
- Summer 2008 - A forward look at Trends and Opportunities and what the business has in-store for distributors, exhibitors, promotional partners and suppliers this Summer.
- Movie Marketing - Life beyond the Blockbuster - This important session looks at the importance of marketing mid-market movies and how the industry can work together to sustain movie going frequency.
- Piracy - remains the biggest challenge and risk to the film industry - this session will inform delegates on a wide rage of issues including current prevention measures and deterrents.
- 3D and Digital - The main questions this presentation and discussion will address are;
Does cinema exhibition fully understand the commitment Studios have made to 3D and Digital; the speed of change required and the real impact it will have on exhibition? Is the industry aligned to the opportunity presented by 3D Digital? What are the real opportunities and costs? - Concession - RAAM will release the findings of its latest survey on Concession which identifies the nature of relationships between the supply chain and exhibition. This in-depth study of the UK and Irish markets throws up some challenging statistics and facts.
- Property Development - Cinema is the number one public choice on any wish list regarding new retail and leisure developments...What stimulates additional consumer demand and property development interest in future? The session will also look at different environmental approaches to new and existing cinemas and the challenges as well as financial opportunities.
The conference, screenings, and tradeshow are all in one venue at BAFTA in the heart of London's West End.

The David Lean Room will be the centre of all breaks and receptions and the perfect place to meet and network.
The programme is supported by all major and independent UK and Irish film distributors and cinema operators and is being developed in association with key industry groups - CEA / ICAI / FDA / UKFC.
