Andrew joined UIP, a joint venture distribution company between Paramount and Universal in 1986, as Executive Assistant to the General Manager, Japan. In 1988 he was promoted to Vice-President Sales, South East Asia, and soon took on additional responsibility for sales in Australasia, moving to London in 1990 to take on the role of Senior Vice-President, International Sales. He became President and COO of UIP in April 1999. Born in Colombo, Sir Lanka, a British citizen, Andrew lived in Japan for 17 years and is fluent in written and spoken Japanese. He holds a BSc in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA and an MBA in International Business from Georgia State University, Atlanta. Andrew is married to Louise and they have two daughters – Emily aged eleven and Anna aged eight.
