CALL FOR ENTRIES
In a change from previous years, the RAAM Awards Advisory Board invites all members of the Cinema Exhibitors Association and the Film Distributors Association to participate in the judging process by nominating films, companies in the following categories.
- Distributor of the Year
- Independent Cinema of the Year
When preparing your nominations in the following categories you are asked to consider, in addition to box office, film choice offered to the public, cooperation and support in developing the box office during 2009.
- Cinema of the Year - UK
- Cinema of the Year - Ireland
- Independent Cinema of the Year - UK
- Independent Cinema of the Year - Ireland
- Call for entries - Distributor of the Year Word File
- Call for entries - Independant Cinema of the Year Word File
Nominations for the above categories are open to any cinema in the UK and close on the 15th December 2009
In addition exhibitors are invited to submit entries for the Cinema Retail Team of the year category.
Cinema Retail Team of the Year
Cinema Retail Team of the Year is sponsored by Britvic UK. This award recognises the importance of retail concession sales within cinema exhibition and will be presented to the cinema which demonstrates innovation and achievement in retail sales.
To enter please address the following points on two pages:
- Outline concession performance, range of product offer - soft drinks, pop-corn, confectionery, ice cream, coffee, alcohol, others etc.
- Annual growth year-on-year - 1 year's figures only %.
- A short summary of the business and of the retail offer - detailing innovative offers - special deals - promotions - marketing approach to retail - on-screen promotions - include images to support your entry
- Name and address of the company and the person responsible for retail services within the cinema or circuit.
The category is open to all cinemas in the UK and Ireland. Entries close on the 20th December 2009.
The RAAM Advisory Board will decide the winners of these awards. Nominations announced immediately after 5th January 2010.
