Mike Boyce joined the film industry in 1958 first working for Columbia Pictures which became British Lion Columbia following a merger several years later. Following a brief stint a Essoldo Cinemas, he returned to distribution with United Artists subsequently taking increasing senior sales roles at ITC and then Sales Director at Entertainment Film Distribution, consistently the biggest non studio distributor in the UK.

In 1987 he joined Warner Bros Distributors as Director of Sales, a position he held until 2006, when he was appointed to Executive Director of Distribution. For the first 4 years of his tenure at Warner Bros he also oversaw the distribution of all product from BVI which incorporated releases from Walt Disney and Touchstone.

In an ever evolving market, Mike introduced and developed new forms of distribution on a wide range of pictures many of which are common place today.

In his 49 years working for the British film industry he has been involved in the distribution of groundbreaking hits such as Teen Wolf, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, The Bodyguard, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, several titles in the James Bond franchise, The Matrix Trilogy and every instalment so far in the extraordinarily successful Harry Potter franchise.
