Tony Adamson manages marketing strategy and implements programs for the DLP Cinema® Products group, the fastest growing digital projection technology enabling the very highest quality large-screen projection in entertainment halls, concert venues and movie theatres worldwide. In his current role, Tony develops, executes and analyzes marketing and communication strategies and programs with the motion picture studio and theatrical exhibitors to increase industry and consumer brand awareness and preference for DLP Cinema.
With more than 22 years of cinema marketing and management experience, Tony's work and extensive relationships with theatre circuits, exhibitors and motion picture studios continues to help enable the transition of movie theatres from conventional film presentation to DLP Cinema digital projection that is now widely deployed in thousands of movie theatres world wide. As part of the DLP Cinema deployment initiative, Tony also developed the first-ever strategic customer training program for DLP Cinema targeted at theatrical exhibitors to educate front line theatre employees about the consumer benefits of watching a movie in DLP Cinema.
Prior to joining TI DLP Products, Tony held numerous positions at AMC Entertainment, Inc., and was most recently Director of Strategic Marketing where he led consumer affinity and interactive marketing strategies and rekindled AMC's online brand experience through programs like the 5-million member MovieWatcher program.. Tony also oversaw media and partnership programs for more than 70 AMC megaplex grand openings. He has been recognized with numerous awards for his marketing work in the theatrical exhibition industry, including multiple Hollywood Reporter Showmanship awards, as well as honored by the city and county of Los Angeles for community service programs for public education enhancement.
Tony is a member of the Society of Industry Leaders and sits on Board of Directors as the Chairman of the Membership Committee for the Variety Children's Charity of North Texas. Tony resides in Metro Dallas, Texas. He is an avid golfer and collects antiques and fine art.
