Trish Long is the Vice President and General Manager of WDSMP, Ireland. She has worked for the company for 13 years, for the last decade as a member of the International publicity team which has entailed working many international events and worldwide festivals with a wide variety of directors; producers and actors. For many of those 13 years, Trish was head of marketing and publicity in Ireland. During this time, as well as studio movies and international acquisitions, she has marketed the release of over 25 Irish features.
Previously, Trish was the first marketing director of the Irish Film Institute Cinemas (and deputy cinemas director); the marketing and publicity director of the Belltable Arts Centre in Limerick.
She started her career as a journalist and presenter in Local radio. She has a long history of involvement in womens issues in Ireland (and ran the Limerick Rape Crisis Centre for 4 years).
Trish holds a (1st class) MA from Dublin City University. She sits on the boards of the Irish Film Institute and INFACT. And on the advisory boards of IFTA (Irish Film and Television Academy Awards) plus RAAM.
